Stand for Stability

The Real Estate Institute of Queensland has devoted a lot of time and money in supporting the Stand for Stability campaign in educating the general public of the destructive potential of Labor’s Negative Gearing and Capital Gains Tax reforms. As our peak industry body, the REIQ is focused on creating a healthy and stable real estate sector in Queensland. This stability is under threat by Labor’s proposed reforms and no industry will be harder hit than Real Estate.

In Room Auctions Results

Gardian’s In-Room Auction evening last Monday at our Corporate Office was well-received with close to 40 buyers and sellers in attendance. Our auctioneer, Gordon Macdonald, sold two of the properties under the hammer! If you were unable to attend on the night, we are more than happy to run you through how the Auction Process gets results for both sellers and buyers. Quality Agencies attract Quality Clients and Properties

Quality agencies attract quality sellers and properties which in turn attract quality buyers and quality prices. Gardian has worked hard at becoming a quality agency. And this is great news for our clients. Whilst the average sale price so far this year in Mackay is $349,000 (according to RP Data), Gardian’s average sale price is $430,000. That’s 23% above average! This is proof that we, as an agency, attract a better calibre of property.

First Quarter Review

With the first quarter now at an end, now is a good time to reflect on the market and the sale of your property. Congratulations to all of our buyers and sellers. Gardian Real Estate has sold 45 properties for the March quarter. According to Core Logic there was a total of 161 properties sold in Mackay for this period. That gives us 27% market share, so more than one in every four properties in Mackay is currently being sold by our agency. We have the right properties for the right people.
